What a Week!

Most would have noticed by now, the stock market is indeed very bullish. Consecutive gains pushed the STI to above the magical 2400 mark.

For Meiban, the counter is stagnanting at 0.415, a 4.5 cents rise from the time i called for a buy. However, due to the rising oil prices to $64, i fear the uptrend would be shortlived. Nonetheless, we must be nimble and becareful of a retracement in the entire STI. Do take profits if you dont feel right.

For Semb. KimsTrans, currently this counter has dropped to 0.450, 1.5 cents lower than my entry point. This could be a part of a secret move my tbe big players to sell down the stock to accumulate the the stock. I am seriously expecting the company to release good results so i am sitting tight. Of course, if the stock falls below the cut loss point indicated in an earlier post, i will not hestitate to take any action. I was contemplating to myself if i was too rashed in getting into this stock, i reckon that i was indeed. However, i was backed up somewhat with a chart formation and did take notice of the of overbought conditions of Semb. Kims. Opportunities come and go, i must grab it when it arrives. When you make an error, dont hestitate to admit it.

Now to the main topic, I CRASHED MY CAR AGAIN! I am super low morale now, after yet another car accident. This would set me back a few grand for the repairs. Although i am so cautious in my stock plays, it seems this isnt caught on for my driving. This accident was entirely my fault and luckily i did not hit anyone else nor was i injured. From today onwards i must duplicate my level of caution to my driving. I MUST, else i might not have the change to blog again or earn my $500,000!

Semb. KimsTrans

Sembawang Kimtrans Ltd. (SKL) subsidary of Sembawang Logistics Ltd. which is a subsidary of Semb. Corporation. Sounds complicated? Semb. Corp. is owned by Singapore Technologies, which is owned by Temasek Holdings. The big daddy of all is of course, the Ministry of Finance.

SKL, is a company providing integrated logistics and specialising in Marine and Mining Logistics. In recent years, the net profit of the company has risen tremendously. From $2.08 million in FY2003 to $6.07 million in FY2004. This translates to a 222% increase. This quantum leap could be explained by the rise in crude oil prices which fueled exploration of gas and oil. This indirectly leads to the need for more integrated marine logistics. Other key fundamentals worth noting would be the EPS, it rose from 0.21cents in FY 2002, to 0.68cents in FY2003 to 2.14cents in FY2004. What a rosy picture indeed. This company is truly making money!

Earlier in september, the stock price reached a peak of $0.585. Since than its price has been in correction and is about to start another up cycle. I hope through the charting be able to catch this new cycle.











1. 22 MA turning up.
2. Bullish divergence spotted in MACD Histogram.
3. MACD Histogram is positive.
4. MACD line crosses above signal line.
5. RSI is strong but be cautious of overbought situation (my mistake in the chart).
6. Slow Stochastics line crosses above signal line but be cautious of overbought situation (my mistake in the chart).
7. High volume today is above the normal average suggests strong buying interest.

Not bad for a start! These are indeed some bullish signals. I would get in now at 0.47 and put a stop loss at 0.42. If you notice the 1-5, A-C markings, they are part of the Elliot Wave Theory, suggested by someone in the 1920s. I wonder if this theory is applied correctly in this case. Nonetheless, it could point towards the start of another wave cycle starting at 1! Lets see if this technical analysis will predict the upward movement of this counter.

Ho Bee Investments

This is the first time i have posted an entry twice in a single day. What could warrant such a strong notion to write down my current feeling? Money off course! However, this is only indirectly linked to money and i want to pen it down to remind myself.

Sometime in November i was vested in Ho Bee at 0.63. I wanted to have bigger capital returns rather than to let the money idle in my bank account and not serve any purpose. I knew this counter would rise based on its solid fundamentals. In fact, many analysts placed a target value of 0.73 It was a company involved in property development and it posted strong profits. Furthermore it also had several upcoming key property developments. For example, it successfully bidded for a few sites at Sentosa Cove, the future residential site for the high society. Ho Bee would definitely benefit and post even stronger profits after the completion of Sentosa Cove.

Naturally, i was delighted when the stock was beginning to rise and it touched 0.67. However the rise to 0.67 was shortlived and it went sideways for an entire month hovering aroundn 0.65. My cashflow was tied down by this counter and after it failed to break the 0.67 strong resistance repeatly, i gave up. I sold the stock at 0.65 and had a 3% ROE. Of course, it is much better than the meagre interest you get for your bank account. Towards, the end of december, it started to test the 0.67 strong resistance and it finally broke it. Today, the stock rose even higher and it broke the 0.70 resistance. Currently, the price of Ho Bee is at 0.71, only 2 cents more to reach the predicted value. I can only say that the market is becoming more and more upbeat and confident.

At the back of my head, i was thinking to myself, had i waited slightly longer, i would have hit the jackpot. The reason why i want to write down this entry is to constantly remind myself not to harbour such intentions. GREED! Greed is one of the biggest reasons why many newcomers fizzled out from the stock market within 6 months of their entry. I was determined not to be these newcomers. Life in the trading world is tough, only those with strong discipline and sound knowledge will Succeed!

 

A Review on Meiban.

Previously, i indicated how Meiban could be in for a rebound off its long downtrend. Since it is already 2006, it is time for a review of Meiban.

More favourable indicators showed up.












1. 22 MA is turning up
2. MACD Histogram is positive.
3. MACD line crosses above Signal line.
4. Stochastics is riding high.
5. RSI Index is increasing.
6. Light volume at the lower low shows that there is lack of selling pressure. A Good sign indeed!

I am very tempted to be vested in this counter. Buy now and put a stop loss at 0.34. After all, PM Lee has is very upbeat that 2006 will outperform 2005 in terms of economic development. Even the STI Index has already increased 13.5% goes to show the overall market sentiment. Ultimately, if the counter to not turn out the way it indicators predicated it to be, CUT LOSS! Do not hold on to it and degenerate into paper loss. How successful in trading is not deemed by the number of good trades you made, but by how many bad trades you had.

Happy Bullish 2006!

"10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1...Happy New Year!"

People always wonder what is the damn significance of a Countdown? I mean it is just change of dates? To me, i think it is much more than a jump in numerical number. It is a time where you get together with your friends and reminiscent what you have accomplished this past year. To learn from your mistakes, to build on what you have achieved. To continue to restructure and improve your life. Recently, i like to review what i have done, this prevents me from making the same mistakes and hasten progress. Of course, i did make new year resolutions, extremely important they are to help me stay focus on my goals.

Nuff of ranting. I was at NYE Mambo @ Expo and i must say my love for mambo hasn't dwindled a least bit. I could predict the next song preceding, i could do the hand actions that others laughed at. The music was good, the standard Mambo stuff. Many said it was boring, somehow i feel this could be attributed to the nature of the venue. Being at Expo, the space in the dance hall is extremeply ample. If there isnt a large crowd to pack it in, it would look sparse. I think this was what happened yesterday at NYE Mambo Party. It looked sparse and everyone was really quite turned off. A the back of my head, something tells me that the people there aint really mambo fans. They just came to the party for mambo had a "name", a "brand" to it. Don't forget clubbers these days are more intuned with the tunes of R'N'B / Hip Hop. Naturally, Mambo, would not have a place in the hearts of these youngsters. If one was more observant, the place was really big, if you transformed that to Zouk, the number of people at Expo would have definitely packed in and filled Zouk main room to the brim. Nonetheless, this i feel is something Zouk has to look into if they intend to organise another NYE Party outside their Jiak Kim Street premises. After yet another mambo party, i am beginning to feel bored, to feel a need for a change. In this new year, i will educate myself to other genres of music. I would particular like to rub my shoulders with House/Trance music. To understand why this is the most creative form of club music. Of course, you won't find me trying to dance to the rhythm of R'N'B / Hip Hop, to me that is pretty commercial.

On an ending note, i would like to wish myself a Bullish 2006 ahead! Closer and closer to my ultimate goal!
