Very much looking forward to the working life. I am formally done with tertiary education save any future plans to pick up post grad studies. Something truly necessary for the progression of my career. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It was too Hong Kong for my grad trip with 2 of my closest friends. Although it was a short 5 days, we certainly made full used of our time there. Up at 7am and only return at 12midnight, we scoured the city for interesting &lt;a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/guanoe/HongKongTrip"&gt;sights and sounds.&lt;/a&gt; Shopping was great, the food was fantastic. Hong Kong is truly a cosmopolitan city and I certainly hope Singapore could become one if it not already one. I feel really proud to be a Singaporean and will always be. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;4th June will be an important milestone in my life, for it is my first offical day at work. Although it will be another 3 weeks of training before I am posted to Serangoon Gardens Branch as a PWM, I am truly looking forward to it. Once there, it will be all about sales targets and sales targets. I will rise up to the occasion rest assured! Those colleagues currently undergoing the same training are a great bunch of people, sharing their experience of their previous jobs to a freshie like me. It certainly reinforces my personal belief and my desire to achieve. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This blog entry would not be possible without the wicked tunes from the legendary progressions set played at MOS on th 2th of June, such a fantastic night that gets me craving for more. Maybe it was a case of me tripping over my own laces. The feeling of seeing that particular photograph of them together certainly took its toll. Something that even listening to my most trancy track was unable to pull me out of. Dragged my best bud out and had a good chat. Not just being a goo listening ear, he dishes out good advice too. "Just move on and get another one" Oh well, i just have to bring on my most effective weapon, like all guys, SUPRESSION! How do they expect Science students to complete their Business Minor when they are only allocated 600 general account points per semester? We have to compete with the Arts students who could use their programme account points! Enough of this shit, hopefully they accept my appeal else i wont be able to graduate with a minor in business.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I had a bleaked start to 2007. Most of my friends would realise that I have a habit of taking out my wallet when i am sitting down. Apparently this cause me to lose my wallet on the 4th. It is certainly not a good start to be straddle with more mindless expenses like the cost of replacing the IC, driving licence, etc...(Yes, i did get myself into another car accident on that stupid rainy day on 20th Dec) Ms. Net: "Dont worry, i am sure someone took it and is waiting for an opportunity to return it to you" They always say, never doubt the women's instinct. Sure enough, i got a call from someone on Saturday and i promptly met up with him to retrieve my wallet. Somehow i think it is fated for me meet this person, an ex-offender (for drug related issues) He was nonetheless a very nice guy, a very honest person. I proceed to buy him a drink as a token of appreciation. Wicked. Was telling him previously that the new track, "Another you, Another me" by Lange &amp; Gareth Emery was region restricted in Singapore hence Beatport could not offer the track. On this note, he emailed them to resolve the issue and gave me a cd with that track in it. Massive! Not forgetting that i could preview his upcoming Stellar Music set even before it is released. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Yesterday at BBBC was really jialat. Drank hell alot. Always great to see the friendly bunch of peeps there. I think i would have enjoyed the night better listening to Yukun than what was filling the air at siloso beach. Of course if you know what you are doing than you would it less a roller coaster ride. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Eucon just reported it 1Q06 results...Marvellous!!! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Revenue grew 122% YoY compared to 1Q05. $25.9million from $11.7million.&lt;br /&gt;Net profit $6million compared to $0.1million&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Such stellar performance is only for 1Q which is traditionally a weaker quarter. As demands starts to pile up in the later part of the year, the profit will sure to rise. They are on course for doubling of net profit this year again. Their Laser Drilling will set to play a bigger part in this year's revenue. The continued demand for consumer electronics like 3G handsets will spur demand for PCB as well. Fellow PCB competitor Jadason also reported very good net profits. The PCB industry will be set for a rise.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now on to one of the most spectacular thing. Yesterday morning, I was lamenting about the lack of response of Eucon's share price to the good results. The counter took a dramatic turn in the afternoon around 3.45pm and there was a sudden rush to buy. 30 million shares were transacted in this last hour alone to propel Eucon to the Top 10 most active list. It ended with a meteoric rise of 2.5 cents. It is now at is all time high of 0.33 cents. Once it clears it, it will soon smell 0.40. Chill!!&lt;br /&gt;Something caught my eye more, there were two transactions of 2.25million each at 0.315 and 0.320. This seems like a fund manager at work. If it is indeed true that Eucon had gotten the attention of funds, than we are all truly in for a ride next week. :)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I predict the stock market will run up more this coming week prior to the General Elections. I will be considering to take a step back either this week or next and prepare for the traditional down period of the world cup season. The bulls were really strong...even after spooking 20 pts yesterday morning, the bulls came back in the second half and the STI closed 10 pts up. The fees are quite steep. Nonetheless this would really boost my CV if i manage to pass. CFA is supposed to be a tough exam with a passing rate of only 30- 40%&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Oil prices could threaten to cause a mini meltdown. Really hope Eucon can gap up again on Monday after the strong buy in the last 1/2 hour on Friday's session. After i told him i decided not to take part in the rally action in SGX in fear of distraction to my exam preparations, he commented: "  Why not? Just monitor as you study" This struck me hard, I thought opportunities dont come by, have to learn to take it and multitask than.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Got vested in Eucon immediately. Today it closed at 0.295. A very good sign indeed, price volume surge for 2 days. Two consec days in top 20 volume. Many fund managers and retail investors are really seriously looking into this counter after the business times article on thursday. After breaking the 0.28/0.285 strong resistance, hopefully it will cheong to the TP of 0.40. My horizon is 1-2 months, with cut loss point at 0.245. I will push my trailing stop once it passes 0.30. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My second paper coming up wish me luck. Somehow i feel that this year the examinations is less of a burden.&lt;br /&gt;5 modules, 3 open book (1 s/u), 1 with 9 helpsheets, 1 closed. Oil Price Cheonging!</title><content type='html'>My exams are round the corner, just had my first paper today. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As you all should have known by all, the price of oil broke its historical high and stands at a whopping $73++ It will race towards $80 and pull the entire stock market with it. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;PCB or printed circuit board stocks are back in the limelight. Eucon hogged the media limelight with stirling performance. More upside sighted. Many broking houses have placed a high TP. Nonetheless, I take these with a pinch of salt. Nonetheless, with the increasing demand for PCB where demand has outstriped supply, this can only spell more business for Eucon. According to the BT report, Eucon would be increasing its production capacity for PCB and Laser Drilling. This will mean good news for the rest the year. The laser drilling would be an important revenue with production capacity increasing much faster than its PCB peer. I survived the past car crashed and i have been less reckless with my driving. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Remember Semb Kimstrans? I bought that share sometime ago and i cashed out at $0.515 after a long period of consolidation. It was going nowhere then, now it now at $0.60. Their recent annoucements of divestment of their buildings freed up cash for more productive usage. There also have been M&amp;A talks which further added to the counter's price. I was happy for Semb Kimstrans for it was the first stock which i had selected based on my own system. Everyone needs their own system, a system that they are accustomed. Do not get slaughtered in the open sea! Although i miss the party as Semb Kimstrans went up to $0.60, i am not too disappointed. I should be very happy instead!!! Partly because i was right on the fundamentals on the company. Secondly, because i had cashed out and invested in an another more amazing stock. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Aztech Systems! This is a company involved in the manufacturing of wireless products and other interesting consumer electronics. It is also another financially sound company with solid findamentals. I first spotted it around $0.210. After looking at the indicators, it was ready to fly. I tried to queue at $0.205 but was unsuccessful and it flew to $0.245. What a waste indeed! I learnt a big lesson, do not be stingy! To save that half cent only to forsake 3.5 cents. Nonetheless, i am happy for my somewhat a stock trading system is working. I entered around $0.25 after it pulled back from $0.27. Not longed it flew to $0.310 and i cashed out at $0.295 after hitting my trail stop loss. It has been a period of amazing bull run, i have to be nimble from now on in view of corrections. One thing i stand firm, i will not trade in China stocks. The recent China Milk, China Fish run ups are too tempting i must say. However, you never be sure when they will do a China Aviation Oil and China Paper. CAO is the mother of all kelong. China Paper recently had a huge selldown after a fantastic run; attributed to kelong management that cashed out. It really stifled investors confidence! Now i am eyeing a few good counters like Eucon and Jadason. They are cheap and they have good upside potential, will do more research on them before i place my bets. A company to call my own!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This few months has been a blast for me. Shares and Nokia aside, i really owe some success to my friends. My few good buddies! Thank you for keeping me company almost every saturday. Thank you for having a few drinks with me. Thank you for hearing my problems and troubles. You all have been a pillar of my life! I will never feel bored going out with you all, even if it was just a simple supper session, a simple drinking session on top of jurong hill, or a simple WE9 session. I treasure all these times. It is not the stuff you do but who you do it with. Before i sound GAY, i should stop. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Of course something that is still bugging me. I think the cycle is about to start again. Every six months. Somehow this feeling is slowly creeping back to me. I managed to put it aside for a while but it is still coming back! Why? Perhaps it is a signal? A sign? Consecutive gains pushed the STI to above the magical 2400 mark. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For Meiban, the counter is stagnanting at 0.415, a 4.5 cents rise from the time i called for a buy. However, due to the rising oil prices to $64, i fear the uptrend would be shortlived. Nonetheless, we must be nimble and becareful of a retracement in the entire STI. Do take profits if you dont feel right. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For Semb. KimsTrans, currently this counter has dropped to 0.450, 1.5 cents lower than my entry point. This could be a part of a secret move my tbe big players to sell down the stock to accumulate the the stock. I am seriously expecting the company to release good results so i am sitting tight. Of course, if the stock falls below the cut loss point indicated in an earlier post, i will not hestitate to take any action. I was contemplating to myself if i was too rashed in getting into this stock, i reckon that i was indeed. However, i was backed up somewhat with a chart formation and did take notice of the of overbought conditions of Semb. Kims. Opportunities come and go, i must grab it when it arrives. When you make an error, dont hestitate to admit it. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now to the main topic, I CRASHED MY CAR AGAIN! I am super low morale now, after yet another car accident. This would set me back a few grand for the repairs. Although i am so cautious in my stock plays, it seems this isnt caught on for my driving. This accident was entirely my fault and luckily i did not hit anyone else nor was i injured. From today onwards i must duplicate my level of caution to my driving. KimsTrans</title><content type='html'>Sembawang Kimtrans Ltd. (SKL) subsidary of Sembawang Logistics Ltd. which is a subsidary of Semb. Corporation. Sounds complicated? Semb. Corp. is owned by Singapore Technologies, which is owned by Temasek Holdings. The big daddy of all is of course, the Ministry of Finance. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;SKL, is a company providing integrated logistics and specialising in Marine and Mining Logistics. In recent years, the net profit of the company has risen tremendously. From $2.08 million in FY2003 to $6.07 million in FY2004. This translates to a 222% increase. This quantum leap could be explained by the rise in crude oil prices which fueled exploration of gas and oil. This indirectly leads to the need for more integrated marine logistics. Other key fundamentals worth noting would be the EPS, it rose from 0.21cents in FY 2002, to 0.68cents in FY2003 to 2.14cents in FY2004. What a rosy picture indeed. This company is truly making money!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Earlier in september, the stock price reached a peak of $0.585. Since than its price has been in correction and is about to start another up cycle. RSI is strong but be cautious of overbought situation (my mistake in the chart).&lt;br /&gt;6. Slow Stochastics line crosses above signal line but be cautious of overbought situation (my mistake in the chart).&lt;br /&gt;7. High volume today is above the normal average suggests strong buying interest.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Not bad for a start! These are indeed some bullish signals. I would get in now at 0.47 and put a stop loss at 0.42. If you notice the 1-5, A-C markings, they are part of the Elliot Wave Theory, suggested by someone in the 1920s. I wonder if this theory is applied correctly in this case. Nonetheless, it could point towards the start of another wave cycle starting at 1! What could warrant such a strong notion to write down my current feeling? Money off course! However, this is only indirectly linked to money and i want to pen it down to remind myself. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sometime in November i was vested in Ho Bee at 0.63. I wanted to have bigger capital returns rather than to let the money idle in my bank account and not serve any purpose. I knew this counter would rise based on its solid fundamentals. In fact, many analysts placed a target value of 0.73  It was a company involved in property development and it posted strong profits. Furthermore it also had several upcoming key property developments. For example, it successfully bidded for a few sites at Sentosa Cove, the future residential site for the high society. Ho Bee would definitely benefit and post even stronger profits after the completion of Sentosa Cove. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Naturally, i was delighted when the stock was beginning to rise and it touched 0.67. However the rise to 0.67 was shortlived and it went sideways for an entire month hovering aroundn 0.65. My cashflow was tied down by this counter and after it failed to break the 0.67 strong resistance repeatly, i gave up. I sold the stock at 0.65 and had a 3% ROE. Of course, it is much better than the meagre interest you get for your bank account. Towards, the end of december, it started to test the 0.67 strong resistance and it finally broke it. Today, the stock rose even higher and it broke the 0.70 resistance. Currently, the price of Ho Bee is at 0.71, only 2 cents more to reach the predicted value. I can only say that the market is becoming more and more upbeat and confident. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;At the back of my head, i was thinking to myself, had i waited slightly longer, i would have hit the jackpot. The reason why i want to write down this entry is to constantly remind myself not to harbour such intentions. GREED! Greed is one of the biggest reasons why many newcomers fizzled out from the stock market within 6 months of their entry. I was determined not to be these newcomers. Light volume at the lower low shows that there is lack of selling pressure. A Good sign indeed!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am very tempted to be vested in this counter. Buy now and put a stop loss at 0.34. After all, PM Lee has is very upbeat that 2006 will outperform 2005 in terms of economic development. Even the STI Index has already increased 13.5% goes to show the overall market sentiment. Ultimately, if the counter to not turn out the way it indicators predicated it to be, CUT LOSS! Do not hold on to it and degenerate into paper loss. I mean it is just change of dates? To me, i think it is much more than a jump in numerical number. It is a time where you get together with your friends and reminiscent what you have accomplished this past year. To learn from your mistakes, to build on what you have achieved. To continue to restructure and improve your life. Recently, i like to review what i have done, this prevents me from making the same mistakes and hasten progress. Of course, i did make new year resolutions, extremely important they are to help me stay focus on my goals. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Nuff of ranting. I was at NYE Mambo @ Expo and i must say my love for mambo hasn't dwindled a least bit. I could predict the next song preceding, i could do the hand actions that others laughed at. The music was good, the standard Mambo stuff. Many said it was boring, somehow i feel this could be attributed to the nature of the venue. Being at Expo, the space in the dance hall is extremeply ample. If there isnt a large crowd to pack it in, it would look sparse. I think this was what happened yesterday at NYE Mambo Party. It looked sparse and everyone was really quite turned off. A the back of my head, something tells me that the people there aint really mambo fans. They just came to the party for mambo had a "name", a "brand" to it. Don't forget clubbers these days are more intuned with the tunes of R'N'B / Hip Hop. Naturally, Mambo, would not have a place in the hearts of these youngsters. If one was more observant, the place was really big, if you transformed that to Zouk, the number of people at Expo would have definitely packed in and filled Zouk main room to the brim. Nonetheless, this i feel is something Zouk has to look into if they intend to organise another NYE Party outside their Jiak Kim Street premises. After yet another mambo party, i am beginning to feel bored, to feel a need for a change. In this new year, i will educate myself to other genres of music. I would particular like to rub my shoulders with House/Trance music. To understand why this is the most creative form of club music. Of course, you won't find me trying to dance to the rhythm of R'N'B / Hip Hop, to me that is pretty commercial. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;On an ending note, i would like to wish myself a Bullish 2006 ahead! A year that i finally realised what i really wanted in life. 2005, i must say is one of the best years i ever had. Be it relationships to goal setting to SCMC, i have learnt a lot through the course of the year. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In 2004 when i just entered NUS, i always wanted to settle down and get a girlfriend. In the early part of 2005, this desire was achieved.  A person walked into my life. For the first time i had a girlfriend; i was a total “noob” wtih relationships. As such, it was soon that it ended, a mere 2 months. It is not the short duration that puzzles me, but rather the immense realisation that followed that is worth a million. What is this realisation? This short relationship made me realise that what i really wanted in life. I wanted to be rich. I wanted my kids to live a better life. Of course, i am not saying i am not having a good life. In fact it can’t be better. I have a nice family, a nice Honda Civic to drive, a bunch of good buddies, a tertiary education etc... i can’t ask for more seriously. However, i was so blinded by the desire for a girlfriend that i was so lacklustre in my other endeavors. After this failed relationship, the box of a girlfriend is finally checked. I could finally move on to the next item on my list. Yeah! You guessed it, it is $500,000 by Age 30. This seems sour grapes for the failed relationship but seriously, i am enjoying such high levels of motivation of getting rich that i have started on a lot of money making endeavours. I will touch on that later. Back to the realisation, i viewed girls as something that does not interest me. Something that is lower in priority than money. This is unhealthy i know, but this is what drives me. With proper control i can tap this motivation to achieve greater highs! And of course it was also this failed relationship that drove to me to more vices, which i would not divulge. Luckily, i am able to focus my attention of making money that i have kicked away many of these vices. To be a successful trader, one must be disciplined! It was also because of this realisation, that i came to figure that it was my brothers that have been the closest around me. They have always been supporting me and have always been giving me the encouragement to excel. Thank you my bros! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The first part of 2005 was dominated by SCMC, me being the business manager. I was tasked with the tough job of getting corporate sponsorships. It was not easy; companies either gave the courteous "no thank you” reply or they just ignored you. Coupled with my first relationship, my energy was not with SCMC obviously, i was a total wrecked. Not doing what i suppose to do. For a large part i was in depression of not being to contribute much and for being a useless BM. Without corporate sponsorship, the events cannot take place. Being, Wenyan, i never gave up and tried over and over again. After the break, i was more focused, and boy was the results stunning. Suddenly, my life was falling back in place. The sponsorships were coming in one by one. My very own I-Week Bazaar was also executed smoothly. All these success were not possible without the help of the rest of the other SCMC members. I thank you all. Give credit when it is due!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Slowly, i became more and more motivated. Another significant event in 2005 was the winning of the 6th Startup@Singapore Nokia Category business plan competition. I was part of the outstanding team of True Mobility that took the first spot. After winning, we were given the opportunity to start a Nokia Shop in NUS. This was a golden opportunity screaming at us. Initially we were dillusioned somewhat but somehow we perservered. Today, the shop is standing proudly is NUS Forum co-op. I was reaching my goal slowly but surely. A lot of sacrifices were made to get this shop up and running. No one more can attest to it than my partners in this endeavour. I have learnt a lot from this small outfit. Everything must start SMALL. Many said we would not succeed. I thank them for their genuine concern, but right now i am only concerned on how to maximise this golden opportunity. To make the most out of it! Ultimately, it is the experience that i have gained that is priceless. I am not concerned if this outfit is worth the time or effort right now, when i have mastered the right skills, the money will automatically roll in! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Trying to be an entrepreneur ain’t all that rosy. Along the way, i mentioned that i was disillusioned. After all, i am also human. I needed to eat and spend. When the monetary rewards weren’t as forthcoming, i somewhat took a step back. I needed something that could help me achieve my goal. I turned to stock trading. The SGX became my good friend in the later part of year. I am sure by now; it is pretty obvious that my interest is with stock trading. I don’t think my life would be ever without the elements of stocks/shares/equities and what not. Right now, i am still in the infancy stage. I am slowly learning the ropes of trading. Nonetheless, soon i will start to walk, than run and before you know it i will become a pro in trading and finally achieve my GOAL! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Earlier, i mentioned, i was disillusioned as the Nokia Shop weren’t as successful as i would wish to. However, after i read a few books on stock trading, i realised that every endeavour required discipline, and proper execution before it will ever be a success. I decided to take more initiative in the Nokia Shop. Soon enough, i was becoming increasingly motivated to set things straight. I needed the money earned from Nokia Shop, to kicked start my trading career. I required money! Everything revolves around money. I really wonder why? This is the fact of life, the rule of the GAME that everyone is playing. Money is everything, without money you cant buy no shit! Without money, you will be looked down at! I am sorry if you think i am really money minded, but this is what i want to be. I want to be successful, have you even thought of your own goals and what you wanted to be? If i ever become rich i will never forget to donate part of my wealth to the needy, for i weren’t from a well to do family. I will never forget what i said here.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"All work and no play make Jack a dull boy" Although i am so caught up with money, i never lost the opportunity to drop my hair and enjoy myself. I love to club; yes everyone knows i am a big mambo fan. Yes i am! In 2005, I chionged much less as compared to 2004. This is partly due to the fact that i was quite tight in finances. It was also because most of my kakis are getting old. They have somewhat gotten pass that stage. However, i would never fall on any opportunity to go club with my brothers again. After saying so much, something is creeping up my mind again. I am indeed human and all humans have feelings. For the large part of 2005 i have stored this feeling in the freezer. However, soon i think it will be taken out to be thawed. Off course, my priority is still with money and i will take this feeling with much more apprehension. I will see how this feeling turns out to be. When that somebody pops up in my mind, i will always stop to smile and think about that person. But i know it will not turn out the way i want it to be. Since than, i have gone on to open an actual account with Phillips and had my virgin trade somewhere in mid October. I would not exactly call it trading (more like punting), i was oblivious to dangers in the world of equities. I had my second trade and a third and that was when i recorded my first lost. A large lost in my eyes. I was overwhelmed by greed to earn the so called quick buck. I contraed and paid dearly for this greed! Having reflected from that incident, i swore not to make stupid trades; trades from the heart. Trading is not for the faint hearted, it is for the well informed and the disciplined. Having paid this expensive school fee, i embarked on my life long goal to be compassionate rich person. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The first steps included immense reading. Immediately after my final paper on 28/11/05, i went to the HSSML to borrow a few books on stock trading. They were "Come into my trading room" by Alexander Elder and "Candlesticks Charting" by Steve Nison. Both books are very informative and i highly recommend them to anyone who are interested to learn trading. Technical Analysis was my new buzz word and i began my first foray into charting. Meiban is a company involved in contract manufacturing of plastic components and the peak of oil prices of $70 in recent months hurt the stock badly. Although the price of crude oil has fallen to $58 now, the stock prices are still in a downtrend. Curious, i did a simple technical analysis applying what i have learnt from the books i have read, i came up with the chart below. Bullish Divergence spotted on MACD Histogram&lt;br /&gt;3. Stochastics is oversold and the slow line has crossed above the signal line&lt;br /&gt;4. RSI Index is oversold and increasing. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Strong support at $0.35 and after considering these few indicators, i entered a paper trade on this counter. I decided on paper trading to gain exposure and experience before i reenter into this precarious market. I do not know when i will reenter but i can only say that i will continue to read up and improve my knowledge in this world of trading. The next book that i would be reading is "Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets" by John Murphy. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The desire is strong!
